Beach themed

Mumbo was excited to hang out with the other hermits at the beach. He really was, but at the same time he was scared. Unlike most of the other hermits he really could be out in the sun for too long. Seeing as he was a vampire. He thought his lovers had forgotten about this. That was until he came to the beach, and saw that they had set up a shaded area for him so he could still partake in the activities.

hmshermitcraft answered:

He’d expected to need his parasol all day. He’d put up with it, to spend time with his partners, but it restricts his actual enjoyment of things.

So finding the large, shaded area they’d set up was incredibly sweet. They’d been careful enough to make sure there were no gaps. He had plenty of room to move around. It could even fit several hermits lying down!

Mumbo still finds it hard to believe that he has partners who care for him this much! It makes him feel very special.

Impulse was the last Hermit. After Evil X had permanently obliterated X, he started doing the same to the rest of the Hermits. The only thing that stopped him was Zed and Skizz teaming up to make sure Ex couldn't do it to any other servers, losing their lives in the process.

Impulse was sure none of them were coming back, not even Joe with his moniker of "he who conquered death." He built a memorial for everyone at spawn...and just stayed by it for weeks.

One night while Impy lay sleeping, Hels snatched him up and drug him back to his castle in the Hels dimension. He knew the others were long gone, so this was the best opportunity. The poor little imp might even jump at the chance to befriend the "superior" versions of his family just to fill the void.

Unfortunately for Hels, this was not the case. Impulse would rather lock himself in his room and would not talk to the dark reflections of all his loved ones' worst parts.

Helsknight is now left wondering why even after losing everyone he ever held dear, Impulse won't just throw himself at the chance to pretend it never happened.

hmshermitcraft answered:

Most of the time, Impulse just sits there and does very little. He ignores any attempts to talk to him by the Helsmits no matter what approach they try. He at least eats some of the food they leave, which is the only sign he’s alive.

Clearly their current approach isn’t working. Hels wants to do something to win Impulse’s affection. It’s something to brag about, for one. But also, Hels likes a good puzzle and Impulse is a tempting one.

He thinks about redstone first, but Impulse might use that to escape (not that Impulse has tried but he’d never hear the end of it if he did.) So, Hels decides to try leaving books at Impulse’s door instead. He doesn’t have many - paper is such an annoying thing to look after. The books disappear so Hels has managed the first step!

What an incredibly cruel and childish thing to say about people. I hope you're proud of yourself for being mean for no reason.

ok some days being visibly homo is the most wonderful thing in the world. an old woman walking her dog stopped to say hello to me and I asked if i could say hi to her dog. she seemed really excited and told me "his name is rupert brooke. i named him after a gay poet from the era of the first world war. he had red hair just like my dogs fur". then she leans in and whispers like she's divulging some great secret and says "i don't usually tell people about the gay part"

I’ve told this one before, but: I was in a long-distance relationship in 2010. One time, after flying back into Toronto, I got a cab to my apartment. The cab driver, who was a recent Pakistani immigrant, asked where I had been travelling.

And I had to think about my safety as a passenger and a woman, but I decided to just tell him: “I was visiting my girlfriend in New York.” And he went quiet, and I was briefly terrified, and then he said, “It’s good here in Canada, for people like us.” AND THEN I FUCKING CRIED OBVIOUSLY.

It’s good to be visibly or openly queer, when you can be. There are so many more of us out there than you ever realize otherwise.
